Work in Progress

Dancer

I bought this tapestry in San Francisco many years ago.  I just recently figured out how to turn it into a quilt.  My plan is to make the geese around the edges look like they are migrating in a wavy line.

Church Ladies

I was inspired in 2002 by this Crowns Calendar of ladies wearing incredible church hats. It made me search through my picture stash to find some ladies that I am going to turn into quilt blocks. Here are a few of my ladies. Right now, I think that I am going to make separate blocks although they might look good as a group. Time will tell.

Gone Fishing

I haven’t figured out the design for this quilt yet but it will highlight the red panel which will be surrounded by a variety of black and white fabrics with splashes of other red fabrics.
The panel is a hand painted batik from the Miao tribal people, SW China, Guangxi Province.
